Diamonds in the trees, pentagrams in the night sky…

- Sleep Token, music group

As the sun dipped below the horizon in West Lafayette, it appeared a new dawn was breaking for Fresno State's football program — leaving Boilermaker spectators and CFF managers awestruck in the process. The emergence of potential superstars — at each position group, all at once — can only be described as a revelatory showcase for CFF managers. Those players include: QB Mikey Keene, RB Elijah Gilliam, WRs Jaelen Gill and Erik Brooks, and even potentially at TE with Tre Watson. A five-pointed symbol of CFF excellence? Color me intrigued.

In the wake of such an offensive explosion, it's easy to become entranced by the forest of talent residing within the Fresno State program. However, let's not lose sight of the gems that were once hidden beneath the surface of this program. These players — like diamonds that have undergone the transformative journey from raw potential to polished excellence — now shine brightly for all to see. A phenomenon that demands our attention as CFF players, so let's take a closer look at the historical patterns of production of this staff, and how the current personnel fit into that paradigm.
