One of the more highly requested products is finally here—but not for free. I am providing my CFF rankings to paid subscribers of VolumePigs in hopes that it will help guide them in their CFF journeys this season. Let me add this as a disclaimer: I intend to keep the free content flowing, but for those who are interested and have the means, I will begin offering paid content like this article going forward as well. I will also be initiating a paid sub-only chat for subscribers, among other perks coming down the line (stay tuned).
After all, the ultimate goal is to be able to do this full-time, and that of course requires…
Unfortunately, with large scale lists such as player rankings, it’s not possible to provide in-depth rationale behind each and every decision. There will also be inconsistencies with what I wrote in articles on players from several months ago—this is a product of information and circumstances changing since then, so don’t be alarmed if I have a player lower or higher than I said I had them back in March, April etc.
I am also presenting my ranking in a slightly different way than others. Rather than an ordered list of names, I have for each position group, listed players by round that I am targeting. Again, I can’t explain the rationale behind every decision; there will be a lot of big name players that you won’t see in these rankings due to the fact that I am not interested in acquiring them at their typical price. An example of this is Penn State’s Nick Singleton; in a standard re-draft format I am not interested in trying to guess which weeks he or Kaytron Allen go off, so I am not drafting either considering their typical price. In the event of something truly abnormal (e.g., Singleton slips to the 15th round let’s say, then yes—I would consider drafting him). For the purposes of this exercise, I am operating under the assumption that players will be selected in a reasonable range that is typical for them.
Another disclaimer: these rankings are for standard 12-team re-draft leagues (not bestball) with semi-regular set-ups (e.g., start 1-2QBs, 2RBs, 2-3WRs, 1-2FLX, 1-2TEs). The format of your leagues might differ, which would change the priority on each player.
Players with a ( * ) next to their bullet are players I have written profiles on, you can search for these players on the top right of the homepage:
Running Backs
I’m starting with RBs because I feel that this is the most important position in CFF.
