Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

Pigs, welcome back to the farm. Those of you who subscribe to my friend
will recognize the format of this article. Erik does a great job with his articles tracking QB depth charts and injuries every Tuesday in the offseason, and updates these reports every day in-season, so if you havenāt subscribed to him, I recommend you do so.This article series is my attempt at imitation of Erikās work, but for the RB position. In this article, youāll find depth charts with injury, recruiting ranking, and other profile information profiled for ALL FBS programs.
IMPORTANT: For those who are only interested in receiving these RB depth chart/injury reports, the monthly round-up articles, and the bi-weekly newsletter in your inbox, you can āopt outā of the general content stream, which includes my analytical articles about CFF, and only receive the above mentioned posts, by navigating to your subscriber settings (top right) and clicking āmanage subscriptionā, then turning off notifications on the top option pictured below. By opting out of the āVolumePigsā group, you are still a subscriber but you will receive only the above mentioned content.
Again, you only need to edit this if you DO NOT want to receive all of my articles. As a subscriber, you are by default set to āonā for all three of the settings shown above.
Notes on injury designations:
Probable ā Player suffered an injury but is practicing or expected to return soon.
Questionable ā Player suffered an injury and is expected to miss significant time in spring camp and/or has yet to return from injury.
Out ā Player is out indefinitely.
You can find the playerās stats and profile information by clicking on their names. Some incoming freshmen are noted, but I will update that information in the next report. The ordering of the charts are determined using a variety of sources, including beat reports and third party services such as Rotowire. In the absence of concrete information, a best guess is made based on last yearās rotation (itāll be clearly indicated if this is the case in the ānoteā section).
Note: I have provided with each program the head coachās and OCās PPG average for their RB1s (half PPR), which is data that is used from one of my subscribersā models: Joe Arpasi (shoutout to him). This average pulls from a sample of data between 2018 and 2023, so keep in mind that for some coaches who only have one year in that sample, the numbers could skew very high or low.
Arkansas
HC PPG: 7.1 ā OC PPG: 11.2
Ja'Quinden Jackson | 2020 | āāāā | TX
Braylen Russell | 2024 | āāāā | AR
Note: HC Sam Pittman recently said this about the top two runners: āBraylenās fast. When he gets turned north and south now, itās a load coming at you. But the thing Iāve seen about him is his vision. Heās got really good vision. Watching JJās Utah tape was a lot about speed and running over guys . . . I mean, heās got some ability to miss in a small area, make guys miss in a small areaā
Rashod Dubinion | 2022 | āāāā | GA
Dominique Johnson | 2020 | āāā | TX
Isaiah Augustave | 2023 | āāāā | FL
Key departures:
Raheim Sanders
Air Force
HC PPG: 15.42 ā OC PPG: 15.42
Dylan Carson | 2022 | āāā | WA
Owen Burk | 2022 | āā | MI
Note: AF runs a triple-option offence that utilizes both a RB and a FB. Itās typically the FB position that dominates the rushing production in this offence. Both Carson and Burk played behind John Lee Eldridge in 2023, but one is likely to take over the FB role in 2024.
Aiden Calvert | 2020 | āāā | CA
Jalen Johnson | 2020 | GA
Jet Harris | 2020 | TN
Key Departures:
John Lee Eldridge
Emmanuel Michel
Akron
HC PPG: 15.1 ā OC PPG: NA
Jordon Simmons | 2020 | āāā | GA
Marquese Williams | 2023 | āāā | PA
Note: Both of the expected top two runners for Akron are P4 transfers. Simmons transferred from MSU, and Williams from Minnesota, both in the 2024 offseason. The OC comes from the FCS, so his track record is not included in the model numbers, but Montana was one of the best offences in the FCS last year.
Charles Kellom | 2022 | OH
Blake Hester | 2020 | KY
Key Departures:
Lorenzo Linguard
Alabama
HC PPG: 16.17 ā OC PPG: 13.2
Jamorian Miller | 2022 | āāāā | TX
Justice Haynes | 2023 | āāāāā | GA
Note: Both of Miller and Haynes should be considered starters until there is a definitive word otherwise. This is a staff that has a mixed track record in terms of volume concentration, but the RBs who have flourished under them are always expert pass-catchers.
Richard Young | 2023 | āāāā | FL
Jonathan Bennett | 2020 | AL
Key departures:
Jase McClellan
